Below-the-line voters for Victoria's Legislative Council now need only mark five boxes 1-5. Whatever way such enlightened voters mark the other boxes, or do not mark some or all of them, will in no way make their below-the-line vote informal.

That is in sharp contrast to the discriminatory rules for Senate elections where, unfairly, such below-the-line ballots are informal.
